In this podcast episode, Lara chats with Michelle Streeter, an IVF Support Coach, about their fertility journey while on the medical journey. Michelle shares her experiences and tips from what she has learned while navigating IVF, med school, and residency.

“One of the things about being married to doctors is that you have to learn to navigate that uncertainty and the shifts and changes that come with all the things. It’s not to say I didn’t do it begrudgingly sometimes, but that is part of the thing we did or didn’t sign up for, right?” -Michelle Streeter

About Michelle

“Hi, friend! I’m Michelle. The human behind thrIVF and your infertility/IVF journey bestie. I live in Charlottesville, Virginia with my husband, our two rescue pups and our IVF miracle.

I have a Master’s Degree in Human Development and worked in Higher Education for over a decade before becoming an Infertility/IVF Support Coach.

And after three rounds of IVF, five years of fertility treatments, one IVF baby, three pregnancy losses, and over a year and a half of serving clients through their infertility/IVF journeys I’ve learned a thing or two about navigating the emotional roller coaster of infertility…

I used to think that infertility had sucked all the joy out of my life. That I would only be happy once I had a baby. And then one day I found myself crying on the floor of my bedroom after getting off the phone with my sister who was pregnant.

It was one of the hardest calls of both of our lives. And I said NO MORE. There had to be more to this infertility journey than constant crying and heartache. And I was determined to figure out what that was.”
